I took delivery of Rick's Adventure center stand skidplate and engine guard last week. This is good stuff.
I put the skidplate on right away . . . it only took me about 10 minutes. I haven't been anywhere to bash on it yet, but it seems like it'll do the job, and it looks great - fits right in with the look of the bike. I intend to mount the engine guard one evening this week, and fully expect the same from it. Y'all need to jump on this while Rick's got things discounted. You certainly won't find as fine a product for that price anywhere else, IF you can find it. |

Thanks again Rick! Great product.
Hey everyone, I just received my second set of plates in really short order from Rick! They arrived within a few days of my request, and they look great and were easy to put on, even in the dark... which I did, because the sun is setting earlier nowadays. Excellent product, awsome price. I am pleased once again. Thanks Kildala2K!
By the way, I think the black ones look skookum the Adventure!

Center stand skid-plate, r1150gs Adv
Thanks for the quick delivery of the sidestand extender and the rear mudguard. I could have used the sidestand plate this summer. I parked at an internet cafe in Mazatlan to say hello to my wife over the net. The bike leaned too far over and did a turtle imitation on me. Both tires were pointed up in the air. I picked it back up, but the fall scratched up one of my sidecases and broke the reflector on the same sidecase. The bike is much more vertical with the extension, and doesn't have the excess lean. I haven't gotten the mudguard on yet, but it looks to be of excellent quality. Looking at the pics of your guard for the front of the engine, it looks like it will work with the oem bmw crashbars on my "non-adventure" 2000 GS. The crashbars have a bar going across the front of the engine connecting the right and left crashbar. If there are only the two mounts at the top of the guard, it looks like they would mount on the R1150GS bars as well as the Adventure bars you designed it for.
Thanks again, Dave Quote:
