Damn. Guess he should have been gentler with the bite valve.

Now I suppose there will be all manner of draconian anti texting while riding laws passed.

Of course there will. The laws will apply to everyone except politicians and motorcycle cops and mayors who ride.

I missed all this fun the first time around. Thanks for reviving the thread, Dakez. I really appreciate the humor and also the frustration behind it.

What if, instead of passing yet more unenforceable laws, there was required technology which accomplished the same thing? My idea: every hand-held communication device would have a GPS and a chip which made it cut out at any speed greater than 1 mph. Inconvenient for passengers who could safely communicate you say? Well, they just have to figure out a way to disrupt the cut-off switch if neither foot is touching a surface.

Look, I'm no computer engineer but I'm sure it could be done. Just imagine the gains in core body strength from lengthy communication sessions in the cage with your feet up!

Feel free to expand on the idea. I'm too lazy to patent it.

Do you have any idea how much money the Cell Phone companies would loose? The world economy would fall and the doomsdaypreppers would kill us all off!!!

Didn't think some were SO attached to the damn phone that they'd want to do it while riding!

I ride to get away from it all, guess some don't...

Hey Dakez, Text what you want and be who you are because those who care don't matter and those who do don't mind!

I have an electronic visor that duplicates my phone's screen so I don't have to look down and get a crick in my neck when I text. All you guys are risking permanent neck injury by actually looking through your visor!

My 990 vibrates so much that my messages would make even less sense than they do now
Seriously, i have yet to see anyone actually ride and text, but i'm sure it won't be long.
