Food looks good Justin!

Justin,

Thanks for the review, and crash tested in Southeast Asia no less - NICE! Love the pics too, coolio. That ground looks as though it might be as slippery as eel snot when it's wet, yes? Are you solo a lot of the time when you are riding over in Thailand, or do you have some partners to ride with?

Thanks for all, my good man.

Stovey

Stovey,

I ride with partners when our schedules line -up. For some reason the last year I've been doing more solo rides because i'm getting less patient for friends schedules to line -up so i just end up going out by myself. Most of the times its no problems......until you launch your motorbike off down the side of the trail and can't get it back up like in the picture. Then you're on yer own, haha.

yes the trails are slick over here, hard slippery clay. Definitely not like my so-cal deserts back home. And whats this stuff they call mud, never had it back home in Los Angeles, haha.

Loved your RR makes me wanna get another bike back in So-Cal and get riding with you in Nevada .

Once again thanks heaps for making the Buzz Bomb, its working great!!

Garmin 78 Series in production...

Still making and shipping 60-series, probably will be forever. All current orders shipped - more folks have orders inbound to me after a PM, which is the way to go.

Hoping to have more 78-series on hand to mail out by Thanksgiving. (If I've PM'd you back that your name is on one, waiting for your check - you've got one earmarked.) I need to make more, the last one is claimed by an inmate here.

Consensus is that Garmin ought to have kept that good 4-pin connector alive on the new 62-series handheld, but I'd like to hear from anybody who has had either good or bad experience with that USB plug while using it on their handlebars. (Of course, the only cradles out there for it right now suck a chub, in my opinion, and that might make a real difference in how that USB power port stands up.)

Anyway, thanks for all to you guys who have and are ordering up. It's been a really great riding season, and were it not for the fuel-injected nightmare of a sled I have to play with, and living in the Tetons with snow to enjoy, I'd be bumming hard about not riding that 450 Six Days and following my little magenta line across some desert floor. For all you mugs who live and play where it's warm and dry for a while yet....

...Rally On my friends!

Sincerely,

Stovey

Apparently, I'm shipping to Australia!

Shipping via US mail to Oz to inmates for $80 US funds. I have to come up with my own separate packaging not available from USPS to get that rate, and there is no tracking available for these international. (Not doing UPS.)

But the good news is, I can take payments from Australia to my local Western Union in US funds, and off goes a cradle to Oz.

And there you have it.

Send PM first, I will sort you out.

Thanks all!

Good Sir,

I am sorry to have to report that I still have not been able to tool for it, and that cradle is just over the horizon. I just composed a post for my brothers down in Australia, and it's here below, FYI. I WILL post up when I have that one ready for sale.

My continued sincere thanks for your interest, and I have you on my Garmin 62 list!

Aussie Group Cradle Buy - via Leith

For my Australian Brothers on the group buy via DESERT STORM in the Regional Forums:

Hi you guys! Jeez - I'm blushing from all this respect and attention..... THANK YOU DESERT STORM and all you fine men down under. Salute from Stovey!

I just walked in the door from a long-ish winter commute home from work over an 8200-foot pass, and I have miles to go before I sleep, so if I don't reply again here tonight, I'm not ignoring anybody. I will of course subscribe to this thread and keep people posted. First, a few answers to a few of your questions.

I currently make cradles for only Garmin 60-Series (Cs, CSx, etc.) and the 78-Series which is the new marine handheld. The 62 is a new and different series, so no - I don't have that tooled up yet. Not the same unit/form factor as already mentioned by an astute GPS user on this thread. :-)

Price for either/any cradle I have is $80 US funds to Stovey per unit to Australia - with no tracking number provided. (See the post Leith quoted.) I need to talk with Desert Storm (Leith) about shipping and distribution though, so hang tight with me for just a short, short bit on that - umkay? And I'll have a solid back to you on that ASAP.

It would be great in the meanwhile, if everybody who is interested enough in this cradle to buy one, actually sat down (with a beer of course) and read my commercial ADVRider thread through. That way, when questions come up, we're covering new ground and this will courteously save and respect each others' time. I'm pleased and honored to answer any questions you may have, but please accept my invitation to read through that entire thread. Especially the parts where people say they love the cradle and they think I'm great.

When I am able to get a hold of a 62-series unit to tool up with, I will, and will post up.

Everybody who is bored to tears now go and read my recent ride report here:

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=630870

with video (iffy video, sorry)

or here on RDS forums with no video

Aussie Group Cradle Buy - via Leith, continued

People of Oz,

(from the Regional Forum "Group Cradle Buy")
http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=637336

Leith (Desert Storm) is Australian coordinator for the Group Buy going on in Regional Forums.

Stovey answers specific product related questions here, on this commercial thread in "VENDORS" in order to respect the forum and help ADMIN keep spam out of the threads in forums where it don't belong. ("Spam" belongs nowhere, it's just that commerce should oughta stay in VENDORS.) We'll stay right by that.

$80 US per cradle is what I will need, and all you people give your money to Desert Storm. He is collecting names, addresses and money. He will shoot me quantities and type (either 60 or 78 series Garmin - all now made of CONCEALEX) and shoot me the $Dough via Western Union. I will shoot him the cradle packages in one lump. He will distribute amongst you and charge regional shipping cost to you.

I am taking screen names and real names to go along with each order, and making sure it all adds up prior to receiving funds and shipping product. Please contact me via PM here to double-check that I have the same as what Leith (Desert Storm) has with your order - and see, you will be on both our radars. You may all deal directly with me here for life, and if you ever have a beef, I'm the man you should talk to about it. If Leith takes your money, and goes to Greece and buys a boat, I'll be in trouble. (But I'll find Leith....) ;-) Leith has been a great customer and a fine gentleman and somebody I'd like to ride with someday. My thanks to him for coordinating with everyone from Oz on Regionals. He's the Man!

I'd like to be able to ship batches of only 10 cradles at a time - if Leith will send me the first ten names, I'll mail them in one box. Wait for another ten (if we get that many) and can have them done and shipped before Christmas - hopefully arrive to all by then.

Anyway, that's what we have set up.

Throw any PM's you have to either Leith or me, any time.

Rally on,

Stovey

My cradle worked flawlessly for Barstow to Vegas yesterday. I got some great comments about it at the GPS track table.
Stovey, you would have had a blast.

Hi Tom,

I wish we could have hooked up on the "2nd Annual Legends of the Fall" ride my friend.... maybe in the future is my hope! It was an awesome run.

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=630870

Glad the cradle is holding up - you are one of my first customers. I owe you a meal and a beer on the trail, at least! (Probably should change your first flat for you as well, for good measure - when we get to ride some good Nevada dirt at some point down the line!)

Thanks for all Tom. Good man.....
