Nice. And I'm surprised how easy the valves are to adjust. Never knew it had gear driven cams. No cam chain to muck with like other bikes with shims under buckets like I've dealt with before.

Got some heat reflective paneling stuff for the right tank. Hopefully that and a new tank cap gasket will solve some of the fuel issues I've had in the past.

Nice, yeah would be easier not having to mess with the tensioner.

You been having vapor lock issues? While mucking with the tank cap are you going to do a "flapendectomy"?

Nope. Heat in the tank from plonking around in the woods on a hot day. Boiling gas. Fumes and sometimes fuel coming out right tank, especially when dropped on right side.

Don't believe all the horror stories from the interwebs.

Being NH Maple Syrup Weekend and all SCS and I decided we'd head up to our favorite sugar shack for some 'breakfast' today...

...clearly, they've finished picking a Pope ...

While we wait for a table we get the nickel tour...

...

...

...

...

PM me and hit my PayPal if you want your CEUs.

You wouldn't know it from these pictures but we met whizzerwheel up there.

About the time our tour ends they call our name and we head to our table. At least one of us didn't forget the food shot.

After a hearty meal, we head back out to the bikes...

...

We decide to take 175/132 home. Whizzer follows for a short while...

...before he splits off for Newfound Lake. We continue down 175/132...

Even with a frost heave or two it didn't disappoint.

Great day for a spring ride!

Spring is here (according to the calender), and I finally got to make a nice 35 mile loop (98% unpaved) on my WR.

The orange sign looked inviting - exactly what I had in mind.

The road was nice, except for the spots where there was some ice right under the soft mud, but it kept me in check. Nothing like a slippery surface to remember all the skills I forgot over the winter.

The views were worth the extra effort.

You have to love NH and its wild side. Far away from the pavement, there is beauty to be found. Hopefully all the white stuff will melt soon and I will be able to explore the old class VI roads.

The WR is a blast to ride!

Oh, it will be a while...

I can't even imagine the mud season we'll have this year. Last year was dry and I kept coming home wet from every woods ride. This year there will be streams

Anyone up for some trail exploration this weekend Saturday? If the temps stay in the 40s the trails should be passable. I'm definitely not going alone. Meet in either Swanzey or Troy mid morning (to let the morning frost thaw a little)?

PM me if so.

Nice! I'm jealous, I've got a couple weeks before I'll have mine back together and ready to ride. Judging by your bike in this photo, I may leave the stock tail in place, at least through mud season.

Well, it has its benefits

But I figured it would be the first thing to break when the bike goes down, so i removed it. A little mud never heard anyone. On the trails, I wouldn't be going as fast as on these roads, so mud should be non-issue.

Looks like I'm gonna swap out the trials tire for full knobbies for a while.

It's not that I cannot keep up with the KLR - I'm just trying to stay behind the smoke curtain

Give me a call.
