PS - Great accounting of your notch adventure, FixxiT!!

My first time up the notch road was coming south from Campton. I was 2-up on the FJR. GPS showed the dirt road went thru to Sandwich, so I figured what the hell. Only problem was it had rained the night before and the first big ascent going south had eroded into 6" deep channels.

Turning that FJR pig around on the side of the hill was an adventure, but we got it out of there without sliding it down on its side. I've been back over it a bunch of times since and it could be done on a street bike when it wasn't washed out. But you wouldn't be able to go as fast...

That would also be a great ride.

If you're in the neighborhood, also check out Tripoli Road.

It's started, but I'd say on time. The third week of October may be pretty good for skiing in Killington, but I wouldn't expect too many leaves on the trees.

Thanks class - that's what I figured. I'm still hoping to restart my annual ride up. I'm coming off injured reserved list & can't wait to ride.

Have a good Fall
