New NH Tag game?

Hey tagoholics,

I had an idea for a new TOR for NH. It would be somewhat unique as it would be the only tag game I know of that would have an end to it.

My idea is a TOR of just "official" NH Historical Highway Markers. You know the ones, the green roadside markers that give you some little tid-bit of history, usually near-by some significant location.

The idea would be that once a sign has been tagged once it is then out of play in the future. That means that as the game progresses it is going to get to be more and more difficult to find a new tag anywhere close and you're going to have to travel a ways to find the remaining signs. All the other standard TOR rules would apply. Could also institute a 2x2 rule like in the NNE TOR.

The state publishes a list of the "official" markers at this web site: NH Division of Historical Resources and give the locations of each sign, so there wouldn't be much mystery to where they are. They even have an interactive map to show you where the markers are, and it's mostly right. It appears that currently there are 235 of these signs out there

I would volunteer to keep the record of what signs have been tagged previously the same way I do for the NH and NNE TORs. A number of the markers have already been tagged in the NH TOR, so those could either be eliminated or re-used, depending on how folks feel about that.

Any interest in such a diversion? Might be a good wintertime TOR since all the signs are on reasonably major roadways and many/most are in relatively populated areas.

I am looking for the Holy Grail of motorcycles. I am not sure it exists.

Great idea. Wonder if Vermont has a similar list?

Cool idea, I can't promise that I would be an overly active participant, but I like the concept.

Ha. I was just thinking that Kaw had an F800 sitting in his garage. trying to figure out how it gets much better than that...

Big enough to pound down some big miles but small enough to be a hoot on all but the tightest trails (and pick up when you eventually drop it). Ohhh right, I can't afford one. OK, there is that I guess

Sounds a lot like a KTM Super Enduro, except the Super Enduro does it much faster.

Build it and they will come.
