I would. If crossing that part of NH, my vote would be for the Kanc (112) or 302 through Craford notch regardless of the season. Best balance of interesting road, scenery, and making time. The other option would be way north to 26/16 past umbagog lake and up to near Rangeley. But honestly, I don't consider that route all that nice. Unless you are a local, the Kanc is usually pleases, even with the traffic and tourists. It is what we got.

There are passing sections on the Kanc... just saying...
as well as radar traps...

Cool2 West of Woodstock

Route 112 west of Woodstock is good, too. Less traffic.

Bring on spring

Hi All. A couple of pics from my first ride of the season last Thursday. Still winter like in VT. Trying to learn to post pics for the first time.

Same here. Bear Notch Rd. (Between 112 +302) has 2.5 to 4 feet of snow pack...

Evans Notch Rt 113

A little east of Gorham is the beginning of Evans Notch/Rt 113. It was recently repaved. During the winter months it is a snowmobile trail, so its still closed. But it is a nice little twistie bit that runs next to a river and a gorge. Excellent food at my sister's store in Stow, ME.

Had to modify the route to bypass Newmarket. There is a foot race in town that will close roads in the middle of town and Bay Road…which is what was planned. The new route will keep up east of Great Bay to Kittery. Then take coastal roads to Ogunquit and over Mt Hope to Ted's.

I prefer 118 west of Woodstock little to no traffic and a great road to test your suspension set up

I've been airborne a few times with my Duc on that road, I like it better with a DS bike.

And the south side of Bear Notch has less than 2' of snow pack after last nights rain. Now the north side (over the top) is probably another story.

Rt 2 is nice but with a lot of RV's, tourists, etc. at that time of year. Here is a recommended bike route that includes portions of Rt 302, and Rt 112 (which really shouldn't be missed): https://goo.gl/maps/zS9t3

You can drag the route to incorporate desired changes, then choose share short URL, copy and save the changes to email or a local text file, etc.

If you had more than 2 days, there are a number of great roads that you can add, such as the mentioned Bear Notch Rd, West Side Rd, Hurricane Mtn Rd, Evans Notch Rd, etc. And that's just in the NH White Mtns, there's lots of good stuff on the VT and ME portions. Maybe I'll sketch something out and post it up as a base to build off with other suggestions.
