Ride the Blue Ridge with the Knobbies Sept 24-26 2010

I'd like to invite you to the First "Ride the Blue Ridge with the Knobbies" rally. The rally dates are Sept 24-26, 2010. The Rally is sponsed by the Knob Mountain Motorcycle Club "Knobbies" and the City of Morganton located in Western North Carolina. The Knobbies are associated with the BMWMOA and BMWRA, however, ALL brands are invited to the rally. The rally will be at the Catawaba Meadows Park in Morganton, North Carolina, and those who are familiar with the area know there are great roads, both paved and unpaved in this area. Our friends at Baltimore Estates have generously agreed to sell discount tickets to anyone planning to attend the rally. To get the discount tickets call group sales at 1-866-851-4661 and mention the code KNOB by Sept. 15 and save $20 on each ticket purchased. The tickets purchased with the code must be used Sept. 1- Sept 30 2010.

Also, a local blues band the Alligators have been booked for Saturday Night.

Sorry for the bump, however I just wanted to remind everyone that if you do not have weekend plans yet then come to Morganton NC for the first Knobbie Rally. See Knobbie.org for more details. The add is a little misleading. It states that the first preregistered get free T- shirt. Should read everyone who registers gets T-Shirt. The weather is still going to be hot, however, cool mountains are only a few minutes away from the rally site. The City of Morganton and the Knobbies are looking forward to having you come to the first rally and hopefully this will be an annual event. Just a reminder that any profits the club make is shared with the South Mountains Childrens Home.

GPS coordinates are loaded and I will be riding in from Asheville as soon as I get off work Friday. The web site did say there would be food available on site and a beer tent, right????

Just got back home (50 miles in a thunderstorm) safely. You guys had better get ready for a larger crowd next year. This is going to be a premier rally "once word of mouth" gets around. Great people, GREAT riding and GREAT FACILITY!!!!! Tell the city of Morganton "Thank you" and we shall see you next year!!!!

Thinking about riding up to the rally tomorrow.. Sat.... are the $10 day passes available at the gate??? Anyone know?

BTW.. I called Gene's # on the Knobbie website and didn't get him, but .. (and this is weird)... after I left a phone message for him, I started getting HIS messages on my phone... If anyone knows him they should warn him of this anomoly.

the second annual Knobbies Rally was a few weeks ago. Its a small rally at a great venue, with some of the nicest folks. I have been the past two years, and would highly recomend it.
