I have no desire to ride mine the kind of distance HBN does. At least not until I can get the top speed up over 28mph. I took it out tonight & it's hitting the rev-limiter even earlier. Oh well... someday it'll be a cheap commuter...

I was palyin with coming but wound up going to the local bmw club gathering instead..
I thought about going for the grab after the nice ride out Fort Valley with the group as we were sitting having a late lunch in Front Royal but by the time we finished it was more like Beer-thirty time rather than tag-o-rama time so just headed home. Awesume day for riding and we had a good turn-out at our bfest meeting as well. Check out the ChuckWagon in Nokesvillie sometime, great new place. Saw a bit of color though not as much as last year about the same time as seen here along Fort Valley (pretty big pano give it a sec to load!)

DC Airheads

Can anyone tell me who the local contacts are for the DC-area (BMW) Airheads club? I've already tried the local airmarshals, to no avail. Thanks.

if you're talking about the DC_BMW club, now known as the 'DC Vintage "Brand that cannot be named or their lawyers will send us threatening emails"' club, I'm a member. Its just a mailing list on yachoo groups, very lose but with some very well versed in the ways of an airhead organization. to join just look in automotive groups on yachoo for "DC_BMW' and send an email to the list owner.

Anyone interested in having the doo-doo scared out of them?? If so, then tonight is the night. This place is out in Remington and looks pretty cool.
Who's ready?

Happy halloween, for you listening and viewing pleasure..

an old Lambert, Hendricks and Ross tune redone and jazzed up, enjoy.

and something a little different and definitely eerie and very kool, read below how it was done, every frame is an actual painting

Khoda from Reza Dolatabadi on Vimeo.

Description:
What if you watch a film and whenever you pause it, you face a painting? This idea inspired Reza Dolatabadi to make Khoda. Over 6000 paintings were painstakingly produced during two years to create a five minutes film that would meet high personal standards. Khoda is a psychological thriller; a student project which was seen as a ‘mission impossible’ by many people but eventually proved possible!

Great prices. I picked up a Gerbing's vest last winter with the new "micro-wire" heating elements. Really works well. (Don't think the NOS stuff on the web site has the latest techno gizmo. May heat up a little slower, but costs less. ).

Best thing: The GS puts out all the electrical power you could ever want . . .

600w to be exact. 08+ puts out 720w.

I have run my headed jacket, pants, gloves, boot insoles, GPS, piaa lights, and high beams. It doesn't even phase it.

My Dakar put out something utterly pathetic like 110w. Pretty much useless for anything... Hell, my 35w/ea PIAAs are basically too much for the charging system...

720w??....seems ridiculously high, that's close to 60amps of output. Some cars don't put out that much amperage. That's also a massive alternator on a bike.

What size is the main fuse?

damn if it isn't rated at 720 watts......

WOW!

I need one like that on my VFR but it would need a few hundred more cc's just to run the alternator...

Must be nice to have all that available amperage...
