How much was the tire change there? I should be fine for the winter (hopefully)

Also, he offers an amazing deal (for this area) for motorcycle storage at $2/day.

Tire Change

If I recall correctly, it was $20.00 if you bring in the wheel, or $40.00 if you ride the bike in. He also will receive tires you order from the Internet and hold them until you show up. He just wants to be contacted first so he knows what's going down.

I know I am not close but it's free to mount and balance your tire at my house. I have a cycle hill tire changer and balancer.

If you want to see if ur riding ladies bike or not, and how it will fit, try this app made by a ADV inmate:

Probably a long shot, but I'm back in NoVA now and looking to rent a house. Must have a garage and ideally within 10 miles or a 30 minute drive of 17th and K St NW DC. Budget is up to $2k/month, but would prefer closer to $1.5k. Looked at a place night before last, but it got snagged before I made up my mind and applied (working long hours this week). 2 young adults, no kids, no pets, perfect credit, lots of motorcycles etc

Oh, also needs to be in an area where people won't get grumpy about my F250 and 20' Highpoint enclosed race trailer.

Size of the house itself doesn't matter much.

I'll post up a thread too in the main section for good measure:)

Sounds like my place to a "T". Only problem is I'm not leaving.

Seriously though, best of luck man. It took me months to find anything w/ a garage & less than 4 or 5 bedrooms around here. I'll let you know if I hear of anything though.

Thanks! I saw a few places last summer, but wasn't ready to rent then. Have been watching craigs list for a month and found the once place I wanted but didn't move quickly enough.

You sure you don't fancy a move about now?

I just got here. Moved in in Sept. The place is finally clean & functioning. I think I'll stay a while.

Must have a garage, be within 10 miles/30 minutes of 17th & K and with parking for an F250 and 20 enclosed trailer...

Kinda limits your choices with those constraints.

Have you looked in upper NW or Bethesda?
it's a little more large vehicle/trailer friendly than Arlington/Alexandria.

I haven't, I think my wife would mutiny if I suggested Maryland (she's a born and raised Virginia girl). I'll have a look though and if there's something nice enough maybe she could be persuaded. Further out, but near HOV lanes and/or a metro stop could also work. Only totally inflexible parts are truck/trailer friendly and garage.

It does limit the options, but its not impossible - I've seen two in the last month that met those requirements. The first was taken before I was ready to rent, the other I just didn't respond quite quickly enough.

We are currently staying the in-law's basement in Alexandria so we have the luxury of shopping around for a bit as necessary, but their dogs are really driving me nuts...

One other outside option I'm considering is buying a house, but I don't have money for a down payment (just started work after being in school for 3 years) and am not sure banks are still crazy about no down payment mortgages anymore. I'd be buying something way under what I could qualify for though I think.

Thanks!
