Hey guys, Bluemont rider checking in. My folks have a place up off 601 about 3 miles from 7. Love all those dirt roads back there toward Philomont and Trappe Farm. Now I just need to get a plated bike running. Currently only my yz125 is operational and I don't think it's the right tool for the job.

I think you actually want to stay downstream ... there's a definite dip on the right side (going east to west/ Snickersville to St. Louis).

I found it when I went across to set the video camera, and Mica got caught up in it too with a tag.

Like most streams I am sure it changes. When I drowned my GS I was on the right (Snickersville to St Louis), the left was much shallower.

Did NOVA really need a chatter thread?
I guess it makes a good place to post random pics.

yup, looks like we're talking the same side. Still deeper over there.

Just waiting for the weather to warm up and I'll be making another run.

Stopped by the Old Salem Restaurant on 55 in Marshall for a cup of coffee on my way back from the tag yesterday. This may be an option as well? Didn't try the food, but the staff was friendly and they had people in there eating at 3 in the afternoon, so it can't be too bad?

Old Salem Restaurant

I've eaten there before, they grind meat for their hamburgers daily. Pretty tasty

That may be another good idea as well......
Are they open in the am for breakfast service?
Some restaurants in that area don't cater to the early bird(s).

They open at 7am on the weekends for breakfast and also offer a breakfast buffet. One of these weekends coming up I'll go ahead and be the test dummy and report back.
