New Ride Report

Just started a new ride report of a recent trip to my old hometown in eastern Oregon. Thought some of you cats might enjoy it. A work under construction.

It looks like your friends at Advantage Auto are becoming (or adding) Triumph of Manassas. The signs up at the shop, but no website yet. I think it is up on Triumph's Facebook site. (I'm not on FB, but others have posted it is there.)

Wow, that's keen! I'm not a Triumph guy right now but if I were, I'd happily go to Triumph of Mordor* over Clinton Cycles.

In other news, what's everyone doing for 4th of July?

If they get a good service rep, I may be forced to buy a Tiger 800
I wish there were more Triumph options in the area.

Man, great plans so far everyone! I'm leaning toward taking Lisa and daughter #1 bicycling along the W&OD to the Mt. Vernon trail, to see the fireworks with hopefully 90% less traffic on the way home...

I did that last year. It was fun and much less stressful getting in than having to sit in traffic and pay to park. One thing that was unexpected was the confusion and mass of people along the Mt. Vernon Trail. It isn't lit for much of it so imagine thousands of people on a 10ft bike path with no light and many pushing strollers, lawn chairs etc. Bring a headlamp and maybe wait 20 min after the fireworks and the crowds exiting will die down.
