I just recently replaced my FD Bearing and seals and pinion bearings. Felt good to get that done at 85k (now 89k) and know it was done right. Everything looked good in there but the new bearing really cleaned up that lateral slack in the rear wheel. Wasn't too hard but required some special tools (courtesy of SplitLanesLikeMoses).

VStrom Valve Adjustment ain't that hard either...but they sure didn't make it easy regarding the radiator situation, oodles of tanks and boxes to remove then shim/bucket adjustment. That being said, mine needed no adjustment but I set it to the middle of spec throughout regardless. Then I rode it across the country

Great vids! That'll be me when I get my Tiger (yeah right )
It's kinda perverse, but I love how the bikes sound like a bad day at the dentist.

Dave
I think you should check out the Manassas shop and let me know how its service department is

Thank you for the tips!

Based on his reputation and location, I will definitely take my bike there for anything I don't do myself.
Agreed

V-Strom valve Adjustment day

I am bumping this in case you missed it.

I am also including the links for tutorials on what we will be doing.

It is a three day weekend for many of us. A Crappy weekend to travel, and you have two more days to take care of your "honey-do" list as well as have family time.

It also gives you plenty of time to get your spark plugs, air filters and 4 mm tubing.

If , for some reason you have an alternative need, let me know and we could maybe do it on that Sunday. (If we have overwhelming demand, maybe we could do both days.)

This would by in my garage in The Big City... The Nation's Capital. (A place for those unafraid of the chance of getting shot, mugged or getting slipped a mickey )

PM for the address or a need for an alternative date.

Here is some stuff to look at to help figure out what to do:
