Depending on how much time you've got, I've got all kinds of routes to get you back north while staying off the main road. I'll fill you in on them at the RTE. But other's suggestions so far are spot on; I'd just add in some smaller roads that are even farther off the beaten path, but those do add to the time factor.

When I was dating a Persian GF we always went to Shamshiry in Tysons Corner, http://www.shamshiry.com/ and hit I think Assai or Yas market in Vienna. You know what tadig is?

All good suggestions. Taking the time to loop through Clifton on the return makes all the difference to me. I hate having to slab it in favor of good roads. Sorry I didn't post a route, been packing and sleeping! Cheers enjoy.

Yeah, I remember Shamshiry. I guess I didn't realize how close it is.
Yes, I know tahdig - I'm the first generation in my family to be born in the US. And yeah, Yas was always great. I forgot my geography but not the stores apparently hahaha.

Arai Astral -X helmet

Does anybody out there have any interest in a used LARGE glossy black Arai Astral- X helmet?

It has a build date of 05/04 so it is OLD. It has a minor scratch or three but it is otherwise good shape. It has seen little use and spent the vast majority of its time sitting on a shelf. It still has a little bit of that "new helmet smell," and none of that horrible "Riteris smell."

If you want this, feel free to make an offer, as I cannot think of how to place a value on it.

Nice.

Love the new 990. This bike really caught my eye when I was at MFI last week.

Good to hear. Like any shop, I'm sure that they've had the occasional disgruntled customer, but so far everyone that I know that's dealt with them has had a positive experience.
