I'm up for some food and fun though I'll skip on the aerostich event, Pentagon City is a nightmare!

Is Rusty Rex code for your house?

How about we meet up over at the Stich Store on Saturday at 1PM
http://www.aerostich.com/popupeast

Folks can poke around with gear and there is Starbucks within walking distance for those SMIBs out there Then we can roll out from there back to Rusty Rex for brews and grilling.

Saturday Afternoon Grill Out - 3PM @ Rusty Rex. PM for address. Bring grillable meat/veg or brews if you want.

If anyone has a lead on a metal fire ring, old truck rim or 50gallon metal drum that'd be swell

That's a beautiful bicycle. Looks like you have a Brooks saddle on it. I tried one on my bike for a year and that was like medieval torture. But everyone swears by them. The Brooks looked a lot better than the "Rx" gel seat I have on it now. I feel like a little old lady riding around with it, but it's comfy.

Is that one of those Rivendell bikes?

Question about VA state inspections for autos.

I'm hearing conflicting information on body rust/rot--obviously a point of consideration for me these days. The code does not list body condition as an inspectable item. Can a truck be failed for being full of rust? --Except for the floor pans, which ARE specifically inspected.

Thanks!

Official procedure: http://www.vsp.state.va.us/Safety.sh...pectionProgram

Don't know about VA, but in MD if the hole is large enough to put a finger in, no matter where it is, it will fail inspection.

It doesn't really matter a whole lot what the regs say, it's the guy that is inspecting it that counts. Start arguing with the inspector, he'll nit pick you to death and you'll be lucky to ever get it through.

You'd be better off asking at the place you'll get it inspected then asking asking on this thread.

Yes-not a custom Riv, but one with stock geometry, frame built by Waterford.

A think of beauty, nonetheless.
