Same in Prince William County... They did away with the stickers, but you still have to pay for one..

When Stafford did away with the sticker I immediately pulled mine off. Next day I got a ticket while parked in a commuter lot in Prince WIlliam county. You guessed it, for not having a sticker. I had to show up in person at the municipal building to get a LEO to void it. Rapahannock Regional landfill is free for county residents. I guess they used to look at the sticker as you drive pass the manned kiosk. Now with no stickers I'm not sure how they are controlling access. I've never been stopped or asked to produce a DL or anything.

I would imagine its like Warren County...you are still supposed to have the sticker. They don't send you a new one every year.
I put my county sticker on the XR on the swing arm along with the inspection sticker. After awhile the chain cleaner had wiped the print off the sticker. I went to the county to get another and they wanted to charge me for it. Hey, its not my fault you use inferior stickers!
After a little back and forth they finally caved in and gave me another.
Its on the fork tube now.

I took 7 over 9 to Harpers Ferry this morning. A nice little 2 hour jaunt round trip. If the weather and the GOVT are like this week, I will be making several runs into WV.

especially now as the leaves are changing. Just be sure to fill up first, gas is a bit high around there.

Doubt it. Different counties do different things. I haven't had a county sticker in years. Fauquier doesn't issue them. King George issues a "permanent" one when you register your vehicle.

MV Augusta Commuter?

I saw a fellow commuting today on an MV Agusta F4.

Looked to be a few years old.

If I owned something that exotic, I would ride it as much as possible, but not to commute on (unless of course it was running and other transportation wasn't).

The fellow had full touring gear on. I was jealous, but my eye was twitching with confusion too.

Who knows what's in his garage; that F4 could be his daily beater.

I thought this video was amusing:

Did you get malaria, or were the drugs to prevent it? A friend of mine had a hell of a time in Africa when he contracted it in the '80s. All of the quinine the docs pumped into him gave him quinine poisoning, which was like the number four killer where he was (number one was malaria). Hope you didn't get it as it sounds pretty awful.

Fortunately I did not get Malaria. Just visited Panama during the rainy season a few times and took Malarone as a prophylaxis. Still got crazy vivid dreams though.

Quinine poisoning sounds dreadful.

Happy trails to HBN, heading south for the long weekend! You're riding, right? How wet are you gonna get?

Yup leaving around 3 for NC. Found a nice church picnic pavillion off Rt 11 south of Staunton to sleep under for the night. I also find baseball dugouts work great too and sometimes you can fit a GS inside Even have my hiking stick strapped to the bike

Naturally I have many friends in the area but I plan to be asleep by 8 and riding by 6 so it doesn't usually jive with most folks.
