Enjoy it. It sure is petty.
I could be convinced to move it on to you.

Well, Annie had a successful move out today, thanks in no small measure to HBN's Dad and Porcupine224. Beard let them use his truck, got a "new" dining room table out of the whole deal.

I sure appreciate the help . . . made a difficult load-out relatively easy. SweetBird said "We couldn't have done it without them."

That says it all. Catherders rule!

Olympics and the Strait of Juan de Fuca

Photos from a couple of recent outings.

Olympic Mountains

North Beach, near Port Townsend

These two places are about a hour's ride from each other . . . sigh. I love it here.

HBN, when you get to these parts, we'll go to some of these places . . . weather permitting of course! HBN's Dad may see them first!

Or a photo of his bike with a free range Key West chicken...so we know he's really there and not just a "sticker buyer"

Cool2

I'm alive and well. Yes I actually completed the first leg of my 50cc adventure to Key West. That was the easy part. I have yet to be pulled over (REMARKABLE!). The more harrowing part of the trip was getting over all the 55mph bridges through the keys so I returned slightly hungover (2drinks!) at 4AM. In retrospect I probably had less risk during the day than with drunk drivers at night but shit, I'm still here. I explored the Everglades and imagine the Mosquitos up in Alaska to be as numerous and bothersome. They can bite your hands, arms, back and face through a Hennessy Hammock FYI.

I'm off to change tires in Talahassee on Tuesday and then have no planned stops between there and family in Helena, MT. I hope to reach Alaska by late Aug/Early Sept and welcome the prospects of cooler temps and pine forests. The south is beautiful but I sincerely miss the mountains.

May you all be well, get your bikes dirty and take for granted your comfortable beds. Do something unusual tomorrow - I always do.

Dan, I can't wait to have you show me around! So excited that you can finally live the dream of recreation with your love. That area may suck me in forever, you may have a crusty neighbor if I can't take myself away.
