BadWolf Brewing: It's my kinda beer!

All the beer is unfiltered and the owner/brewer doesn't like bitter hoppy beer. Clearly a man of discerning intellect and discriminating tastes!

I had the flight of all 6 that were on draft at the time. I recall a Saison, a Cream Ale, an Amber, one IPA or maybe 2, and a Pale Ale? Maybe? I had just met Mr and Mrs SxyRdr, so I was chatting with them and not paying as much attention to the beer details as I normally would.

But, I was expecting the Saison to be not to my liking, since I rarely like those farmhouse beers, but it was good. And I really expected to not like the IPA. I mean, heck, the name was "You're Not Going To Like This IPA" if I recall correctly. Wrong name! That IPA tasted like an IPA is SUPPOSED to taste! All 6 beers were good and I will be returning to BWB as often as possible!

I'm definitely out, my wife has a Brazilian ju-jitsu tournament I can't miss. My brother will be there, he's on a '14 1190 R.

Rode to Middleburg on Saturday. I saw a new storefront - Mt. Defiance Cidery and Distillery - where an auto repair shop used to be. Stopped in, it has a small tasting room and a large room with the stills. It seems like they specialize in really dry cider. I picked up a half growler of the ginger cider (the more gingery of the two ginger selections). They also had a really good General Reserve cider that's aged in bourbon barrels. They said they're working on a spiced cider for the fall. I usually stop at the Home Farm store to pick up a bottle of Foggy Ridge cider when I'm in town, so this is nice alternative. Worth checking out if you're in the 'burg.

Edit - Linky

Hey, y'all... just in case you might know someone who is interested, Donovan's officially put his Wee up for sale. He's willing to do a trade for a Bandit 1200 or FZ1.
