Got me a very rare free day on Saturday.
Anyone want to do some type of DS ride around the Loudoun county area? I am itching to get the 'tard out and hit some gravel. I could also take out the GS and hit some apexes. Ifing ya all are staying in - I will stain the deck instead. Save me from 5 gallons of deck stain and lets get some dirt. |

Anyone know of a local store that carries Sidi boots?
Would like to take a look at a pair of Discovery Rain Boots. |

Revzilla in Philadelphia has a large selection of Sidi boots, including the Discovery Rain, if you happen to be going in that direction. Eric |

Well, Mortons was out of the Disco Rains in my size but I ended up liking the Adv Rain better anyway, so I got a pair of those, which was good because the field boots I've been wearing were full of holes and I got rained on coming back home.
A little tweaking on the shift lever and everything will be happy. (It amuses me that I paid almost $100 more for boots than I did for the bike I'm riding.) |

![]() The Discovery has a third clasp on the ankle, somewhat less sacrificial plastic and metal reinforcement on the toe. The third clasp made getting my jeans cuff over the boot rather difficult. I'm glad they were out of the Discovery in my size as it forced me to look at the Adventure, which works better for me. mnd screwed with this post 04-13-2010 at 11:38 AM |

MND....I wear the Sidi Discovery and I found that after you wear them for a bit , they loosen up and you can shift better.....on my Kawi I did indeed have to adjust the shifter a bit. Nice boots you got....even though as you pointed out they are more costly than the bike you ride....you may have to take out a rider on your insurance policy for them..

![]() As my wife pointed out, my feet are worth more than the bike too. Maybe next year I'll look at Motoport... |

I've been chasing gremlins with the CX for the past few weeks and am starting to have concerns about having a running bike for the class. (And the second engine I've been working on getting ready has valves of dubious quality.) Clearly the solution should involve a 25 year old bike to backstop my 32 year old bike, right? |
