off road riding

Does anyone ride offroad around here? Just moved up from FL...i have a KTM 450 with a FL plate, no blinkers, so may not be technically street legal here, not sure...but its mostly for offroad anyway...anyway is there any trail areas or anything, do any of you get together to do that sort of thing anywhere around here?

There's not a lot of off-road areas in NOVA. Further west and south you can find a couple areas but nothing like you left in Florida.

Technically, you don't need blinkers in VA. However, if the signals are present, they must work.

I should be able to make the ride down (I just need to re-arrange my normal Sunday morning schedule).

Question

So is the breakfast on Sunday happening? If so, how about someone in the know starting a new thread for it, including more info on the location?

Next Sunday's also this year's Classic Motorcycle Day at Butler's Orchard in MD. If I recall correctly, BSA is the featured marque . . . . .

Looks like I've bought myself a little more breathing room on the engine rebuild for the CX.

Besides a change of fluids all around, the only thing I think it really needs is a set of grips.

Ohhh,really really sweet!

Nice bike, too.

Seriously, that's a really cool bike. Congratulations on the find. Now I'll never be able to get a tag again 'cause you'll be there first on the Nighthawk.!!

Will you be riding the CBX while she's on the 'hawk?

After the V-twin, the I4 sounds funny.

I've got the receipt for the tires that are currently on it.

They've got 3126 and no real wear at all.

They were installed in 1998.

I'm going to take it easy until the new rubber arrives.

Are you gonna spoon them on or take it to a shop?

I'm gonna redneck them on in my back yard.

Every time I get a set of tires I think "this will be the time I give up and go buy a HF tire changer."

Usually 30 seconds later I've got the tire off and am thinking "oh, well that wasn't so bad."

Swapping tires on the quad caused me to invent a few new swear words though.
