I'm from Montreal , Canada. I'll see how much he wants for it but I'm not sure I want to buy just one side . I'd rather wait to have a complet set . I think it's going to be hard to find the other side alone.

How is yours comming along? Are you going to keep it black and yellow?

I have not started the build yet, still waiting on the "snorkels" and air duct but iīm going to keep my bike red for now and just paint the little yellow on top of the panels and leave the black black and change the yellow GS-stickers To red ones. If i like the bike after the coming riding season as mutch as i do now iīll probably change the colour to something i have not seen yet on a BMW.

Maybe you could look in England they have a lot more bike breakers, perhaps make inquiries about some at www.ukgser.com and see if they can help you out. It would be fun to see more conversions.

OK well I bought the right side . I'm now looking for a left side ( dammaged or not ) . Might be hard to find but for the price I paid for the right side , even if I buy the left side brand new it almost comes out to half price ...

Well i just couldnīt sitt around and do nothing so i started to tear down the beautiful stock f650gs.

http://www.sporthoj.com/galleri/visa...02992&header=1

it didnīt take long to get to this stage

http://www.sporthoj.com/galleri/visa...04589&header=1

And then some testfitting of the f800 panels

http://www.sporthoj.com/galleri/visa...04591&header=1

Had som paint in the garage that looked a lot like the bmw colour so...

http://www.sporthoj.com/galleri/visa...04592&header=1

Thatīs how far i got, as you can see iīm waiting for the "snorkels" and the air duct. But since that didnt take very long to do i started to play around with the handlebar so now thereīs a nice Renthal fatbar in place.

http://www.sporthoj.com/galleri/visa...04593&header=1

New GS-stickers in red is ordered from http://www.humvee-graphics.com/
to replace the yellow ones.

So what do you think ?

Yeah, all eyes are on you, I'm just sitting back and observing for now
I'm going to paint mine for now, then if I'm still not satisfied I'll do the panel change. And I'm also an opportunist, so if some used panels show up on the cheap I will snatch them up.

A question though. What's the best way to take off the front blinkers? I started taking panels off and ran out of time right as I go to them. I see the connector/clip behind the panel, will that clip actually fit through the hole that the wires come through? It just doesn't look like it will fit. One way or another way I'll finish taking the panels off tomorrow though. Cheers!

I had no problem with that, but i donīt remember having to take the clip through, iīll have to take a look when i get home.

Today iīm going to visit my BMW dealer and pic up my snorkels and air duct, and yesterday i got my stickers from humvee so things are starting to fall in place, should be able to get it ready this weekend.

Remember to post pics of your paintjob when you are done diablo.

I received some parts today. Very satisfied with the seller and shipping time... A few more parts missing and I'll be on the move .

How is yours comming along? Any changes from last time?

Edit: Did you order the air duct , and what screws and nut kit did you have to order to complet the project.... Don't we have all the screws/nut/clip we need on our original 650?
Did you also order the protecting grille (part : 17117694197)
