That thing is BEAUTIFUL. Well done mate, well done! Truth be told I might even "borrow" your painting method and do white on top and black on the bottom with white GS stickers. Or maybe I'll scratch the whole white and go with dark blue. Who knows.

(and I'm a sticker whore too in my own ways, my girlfriend gives me shit all the time for how much money I spend on stickers)

we have decided on the tires..have two sets of Heidenau K60's on the way. Could have used them yesterday. Went for my real off road test...more like dirt biking to me and my Metzlers did OK except the slick muddy sections...video to come. As for the side panels that is the piece we are missing to make our bikes look just right....
Oh and yes we LOVE our bikes and I am really sore from yesterday. The sales guy I bought from was my off road "instructor" and does not believe in sitting down AT ALL!

What color would you go for if you make the panel mod? I might leave mine yellow/black for this year and then I'll decide.

So (to XLV) as I'm preperating here (yes I'm making up words), I'm wondering... the new air duct, 46637698571, part number 1
![]() Is that just the grille housing and the 650's grille still works on that 800 housing no problem? My main reason for asking is I have a Wunderlich grille protector, and as long as the old grille works, my protector should too, but since it's a different housing and the two bikes do have different radiators...

Hey DiabloBlanco
I have no grill protector and as i have said before the duct needs to be trimmed a bit so it doesn´t rub on the radiator. I have never looker at a f800 up close so i can´t tell you how a protector would work in combo with the duct, but there are two screw holes on top of the duct that you won´t be able to use that´s the difference between the 6 and the 8, you only use the center hole below and the 4 other holes that is used to fix the panels. Do you live far from a dealer ? or could you just swng by an have a look at a f800, i´m sure you would see what i mean. /M |

Yes I live fairly close to one, but I'm sure once I have all the pieces in hand I'll see exactly what needs to be done, pretty certain I'll need to modify the protector, but we'll see! Thanks
