I finally have the baskets back in my hands. I will start building them on Fri. Shipping them on Mon for those that have paid. I'll be posting a final price Fri. So far these have all been spoken for w/ a few names in reserve. Next batch is in the works but won't be started for at least 1 month. Get your name in now if you're interested so I can figure out how many to make.

I'll be sending out invoices for those on the list Fri or Sat.

Thanks for your patience.

FINAL Price for this batch has been posted in 1st post.

*A small increase b/c of unexpected production costs and labor to install.

Baskets started to ship on Tues.

Those that made the first cut have been notified or should have them soon.

Next build group will be waiting for more Basket cores to be returned. I will start building them as they show up and notify the next in line.

I'll be gone until June 14th, so when I get home the next build group will start.

I got mine the other day. The pictures dont really show you how robust it is compared to the original. Im sure I can now use my rekluse(I was ready to go back to the std clutch) without worries. Thanks for the help craig.

How is the progress on baskets?

I about to replace the cam chains. And while at it i look a little closer and the clutch basket also:

Old clutch basket?

It sure shows some wear ...how long before it starts loosing teeths?

Also see i seem to have the old steel band basket (didn't even notice it when i redid the waterpump ...just thought the -03 had this and mine is a -04)

Need to sign up for something stronger ...a little problem might be with me beeing located over seas with shipping and stuff.

I got my new basket 2 weeks ago.
Very nice piece, and very good quality.

I installed it whith a new clutch (EBC fiber discs, for a GSX-R 1000 K5), and it's perfect.
I'm now waiting for the return of CJ to send back my core.

Yes, but you will need the last disc from KTM , or an other EBC disc, but they don't sell it other than in a kit (the KTM have 11 discs, the GSX-R is 10).

Got the billet basket and Rekluse package from Craig this past week and got it installed in my 2010 990A today. I have a Rekluse in my 525 EXC in it makes a great bike even better. I have no doubt this combination is going to be killer on the trails.

I had to call Craig on this one. This EFI timing gear is in the way and you can't get the basket off:

Turns out you have to rotate the EFI gear so the gap in the teeth line up with the clutch hub gear teeth. Then you have to remove the center roller bearing. I used a magnet to grab hold of the very thin, center roller bearing and then worked the stock basket back and forth until I could get fingers on the bearing. I was able to pull it forward off the shaft. (the needles are captive). Once removed, you have room to wiggle the basket free!

Be sure and remove the oil pump gear from the stock basket and put it on your new billet beauty:
