Dan Gurney Samsonite BMW Luggage??????

I just bought off of Ebay, a BRAND NEW set of BMW luggage for a 1974 R90/6 luggage made by Samsonite. The set is yes, brand new. It must have been in someone's closet for the past 30 years. Samsonite sponsored Indy cars during that era is about all that I can find out. I still have the original packing slip, all paperwork that went with it, even who inspected it and the paper stating that it was made especially for the Dan Gurney collection. It came with the side racks, two side hard cases, even the rear top rack......even the original package UNOPENED with all of the hardware and locksets.......

Has anyone heard of Samsonite making bags for BMW and the Dan Gurney Edition that I have come upon?

Had Samsonites on my 90s for a bunch of years. Worked well other than taking them on and off the racks. The locks were kind of a pain in the arse. Also not very waterproof without the rain covers.

Used Samsonite bags in the 70s & 80s, liked them. I gave two away and have another two in the garage attic. As said, must use rain covers.
Locks could be a problem but OK after I ground off the external tab on the keys. ian, Iowa

When I saw those things on Bruce's bike I literally thought he cobbled up some suitcases from a thrift store
