I would like to thank IpohGuy@T and WildMagna for their RR on the new road into Cameron. Took the route as described by you guys. Spot on.



Went alone on 21st April and like you say - a nice quite road. It was raining and the misty panorama was awesome. So impressed with the view I brought my friends along the following week.



Short stretches offroad and some water on the first trip.


Glad to report that on my second trip, a week later the road is almost completed. Only a very short stretch of gravel left.

from 6-9th June ,my buddy (virago xv750)from Penang and I will ride from genting highlands -Bentong-Gua Musang -Gerik-Betong(Thailand)-Gua Musang-Cameron Highlands-Sg Koyan-Raub-home.
I will depart from Segamat(Johor)at 730am on 6th,heading to Genting Highlands to meet my buddy who ride from Penang at 12pm.

i m back! sorry for late RR.
Done 1860km in 3 days ride, started from Segamat- Bentong-Gua Musang-Pengkalan Hulu-Betong(Thai)- Ipoh- Penang- Cameron Highlands- Raub-Bentong- Segamat.
here we go:
hi guys,
During the school holidays from 6th-9th June, i had the chance to ride to a few states in Malaysia (Pahang, Kelantan, Penang, Perak) and Betong, Thailand. Jonas, my faithful riding buddy all the way ride down from Penang joined me and we had great time riding together.
Here are some pics to share:

Day 1: Ride from Segamat to Bentong (my home town)

Day 2:
prepare to leave Bentong, heading to Gua Musang,Kelantan.

on the way to Raub..via the old trunk road



We stopped for lunch at Kuala Lipis...tried the famous Hakka Noodles here:



resting at Gua Musang,Kelantan(northern part of Malaysia)


Reached Temenggor Lake, Perak



530pm,reached the border, Pengkalan Hulu, refueling before we cross the border entering Thailand.



Reached Betong,Thailand. We put a night at the best hotel here. Room rate for 2 person per night is only about USD43, very cheap!

visiting to the Piyamit Tunnel,the most popular attraction in Betong - Piyamit tunnel which built by the Malaya communist's in 1977 during second world war. Fifty of them took 3 months to dig and built the 1km tunnel with 9 entrance exit paths.

The tunnel was built in three months in 1976, winding through the mountain for about one kilometer, about 50-60 feet wide with multiple entrances. It was used as the air raid shelter and food storage area.
