everytime I take mine out at least one person stops and asks if I'd be willing to sell it. our last camp out one guy said he'd go get me the money, we could use it all weekend and he'd pick it up sunday afternoon. he even made a really nice offer.
also I'd never own a tent camper. I like having a real roof, and its quieter. Plus love the camper being up all the time, need to get something out of the camper no problems. |

A guy on my way to and from home has a Scamp Egg he might sell. Looks to be in good shape, he NEvER uses it. He also has a weird fiberglass boat as well, a bowdriver with a 110hp merc. 15ft.

the problem with them, as the owner noted is that the bed only has one side - so the inside person has to crawl over to get out to take a leak - since both the wife and I have this need now in our dotage, that's not trivial. The kitchen is also inside...the one thing we observed with the teardrop is this: ![]() The kitchen. It's outside. This means that no matter what we cook, we don't have to sleep in the vapours! Liver and Onions? No problem. Fish? What smell? Also, see that table? Work space abounds on a proper teardrop - see that shelf with the cooler? A table if you need still more space. Everyone has different needs with their campers. We lucked into the camp-inn, and I have to admit that I'm not tempted by much in bigger campers. We have few systems to go wrong and the ones we have are quite simple - the propane tank connects to the stove and that is all. There is a single battery for all the DC power and the AC simply distributes whatever you plug it into. I suppose the only downside we have observed is that when it's really cold, you simply cannot go inside to 'stay warm' unless you are all but lying down. But we felt that we were going camping, not taking a house on wheels. We also like that our trailer fits in our driveway when we are not using it. It takes up no more room than a car.

We had a 16' Scamp for several years. Bought it for $2000, camped in it for 4 years and sold it on Ebay for $5400. I loved that camper but with 2 kids it was getting kind of cramped. Moved up to a 21' Sunline and then last year sold it and bought an Airstream motor home. Don't really care for it and will probably sell the Airstream this year and look for a work and play type trailer to get the best of all worlds.
