I just saw this "1962 sinko" trailer on my local CL, pretty neat for $1k and supposedly under 2k lbs: http://slo.craigslist.org/rvs/3400576985.html

I've been slowly building a 6x10 cargo trailer myself, and while it's not up to most people's RV standards, it's way better than a tent!

estimated cost $25 to 30 thousand
I hear what you're saying... you're going to pay a serious premium for little/light. Unfortunately for me, I don't have a vehicle capable of towing a 24' trailer (sold the half-ton a couple of years ago due to lack of use and the cost of gas). About 2000lbs is my limit and the SylvanSport GO is what I've been eyeing. It is (very) expensive for what you get though.

I'm have a 5000btu window unit in my Econoline camper. 1000 watt Honda runs it just fine.

I had trays of expanded aluminum added in front of the rail on my cycle carrier and carry/run the generator right there. Everything else, lights, water pump, inverter, fan etc is on a 12 volt house battery with a solar panel charging it.

Any links on where I can buy a solar panel for the house battery? That's a darn good idea
