I've only been in that area once when there was that much water. The rains can turn a beautiful, dry desert into a wet, otherworldly dreamland. Your photos bring that out. Nicely done.

An HP2 in Amsterdam? Where do you ride that thing?

My wife is from Lelystad, so I've been to Amsterdam plenty of times. Maybe we can arrange a friendly fly and bike swap... You ride the desert on my 990, & I get an HP2 for the Alps.... Just thinking out loud. I have no plans to get back to Holland any time soon.

I was just out there this weekend!! Saw a ford ranger getting pulled out of the river. We went friday night and camped at the rogers trough trailhead.

Didnt expect it to be so cold woke up and my whole sleeping bag was covered in frost!

But I wasnt as cool as you. I Jeeped up to go backpacking with a buddy of mine.
