Baja Ferries
I had heard that there is another ferry service that is less expensive than Bajaferries? I can't seem to find it however.

it is mainly for truck transportation so expect no comfort at all. But it is cheaper. They have a daily route from La Paz to Mazatlan that leaves LP around 4 o'clock Took it twice, you get what you paid for, a crossing :-) |

Try www.ferrytmc.com . This is a good company and has , like baja ferries, several vessels so it is not fair to generalize about the type of ship. Some runs are indeed more dedictaed to freight and truck transport, but that just adds flavour to the adventure.
I've done both routes from Pichilingue and can't complain, and never rented a cabin for the overnight run to Mazatlan. Weather was warm and dry and rolling out the mat and sleeping sleeping bag in an out of the way spot on deck was very restful . If to Topo' and you disembark well after dark check in at the one a hotel in town, can't miss , has a big lit sign right downtown. |
