ValleyRider did well with his first race in 35 years and I loved the big shit eatin' grin he had on his face as he went around the track. Oh yeah, and the wheelie crossing the finish line was pretty cool too

The bike looks even better in person than it does in the pictures.

ValleyRider’s bike even looks better in real life than in pictures. The pretty girl in the background is his daughter and part of his fan club.

ValleyRider, the man himself. Notice he’s wearing the vintage boots and hot shoe but I wonder why he’s not wearing his vintage riding pants and shirt too. We caught up with him just as he was returning from the concessions – He needed to fuel himself.

Lining up for the qualifiers – Number 186 is the person we’re cheering for.

And he’s off to a good start.

Here he comes again and he’s still upright. Wahoo!!

He’s looking good.

And the checkered flag.

The main event we got to see ValleyRider, number 186, ride again.

Unfortunately I didn’t get pics of the ride across the finish line or the nice little wheelie ValleyRider did as he finished. Dang!

It was a good time.

Oh yeah, the wheelie was kinda "weak"... It's been a while!

Thanks Garrett! Like it says under your name, "Ride Slow Bikes Fast".
I beat the Honda CR500 that was in my race, but no way could I match the power and handling of the (2) Honda CRF450s or a Champiom framed Honda 350/410.
Had a great time though.

I had a great time time, thanks for letting me know when you were taking it out.

The wheelie was unexpected and that made it good, it didn't look weak at all.

Yeah, It's pretty amazing what modern day tires, Dunlop K180, will do for the handling of a 42 year old motorcycle. The suspension was kept stock.

OK, the last of the pictures. Gary Davis got these shots at the track and I finally made up my mind to get a hold of him and get some printed out.

Did you happen to get any video of that evening Willie? I would love to put some sound to these visuals!

If you're on facebook, look me up.
There is video of the main posted in my profile.
I wasn't really impress with my riding on the video, but the daughter saw fit to record the main.

Got this from my daughter. Didn't know she had any videos from that day.
All the others (3) she shot were too large a file to upload to flickr.
This was the first practice of the day and the track was loose dirt and somewhat wet in spots.
Hope this works....
