On ya Pete. Love the way the Internet shrinks the world.
Hope the missus didn't find out how much you spent. ![]() Quote:
![]() Keep us posted. I love the idea of a lightweight and old ADV bike. And I love the smell of 2 stroke n the morning. Here ya go. Originally purchased in the Shire and kept in rego by the previous owner and myself. We do the odd local adventure.

Gday Vudu i have a few motors for it. Rode it from Sydney to Cessnock, & back. With one of the dt motors in it, it's a 2 wheel tractor { i mean that in a good way, grunt with no big hit to worry about}, great for ADV riding. Better brakes, 200k fuel range, & i will be
.Gday Baza i have one of those in the back shed. Only thing better than a big 2 stroke, is a small 2 stroke. Cheers Peter |

Nice bit of history Baza. You sure no how to load up an old bike. And Pete's right the 400 is a real nice tractor.
Recently passed on to a new custodian. ![]() And here's another one I had. Taught the second wife to ride and she passed her licence on this one. Both gone. ![]() ![]() Don't mind a bit ugly myself. ![]()

I always liked the simplicity of a two stroke motor to work on,
![]() ![]() Always had a flair for stacking too much on my bikes ![]() Cheers Baza

Put pre mix from the lawn mower in the tank & as a bit of a joke i said to my son watch this {I didn't think it would start} I gave it 2 half hearted kicks {just to see if it had any compression} it went brrr on the 2nd kick thought to myself fuk me, gave it a few good kicks & it started

dunno if I popped this one up already but here's my next project a Beeza M21 600cc side valve.
![]() I'm building this one on a shoestring from swapmeet bargains and surplus bits from my B33 build. I'm going to do it up as an early 1930's style bike with valanced guards, big headlight, hand shift off the tank, pannier racks and toolbox.

That would make an unreal rally bike, those old fellas were pretty good allrounders, just going on what my old man said, he had a '38 350 Triumph, which he travelled all over with going to rodeos ![]() Cheers Baza

That's the plan. The old war WM20's are an absolute stone axe of a bike, the post war late 40's M21 I have was just a stroked M20 making it a 600 not 500, they were designed for sidecars. I've always loved the simplicity of these bikes so I think it should make a great tourer, you can fix them with a hammer, I'll run an led bulb in the tailight and convert the headlight to something halfway bright with a modern condenser in the magdyno, a fusebox and modern connections I think it should be pretty reliable bike.
here's a pic of the pre-war M21 which i'll try and mimic with my post war motor and frame (much the same anyway). my mate is getting an English wheel so hopefully he'll let me have a play so I can cut my teeth on rolling some guards like these.

Vudu they are some nice DTs
Nick i think the English version of our NRMA used those in 500cc with a side car for road service back in the day. I have had a few side valves over the years & liked them. Cheers Peter |
