A wee bit easier to work on than your prior bike? No more 4 hr job to change carb settings or all day valve checks . Welcome to the world of old school simple. I gave up big orange this winter and moved back to something I enjoy working on.

+1

I'm in debate about what to do with my front...baja 8 inch light, some form of rallyish fairing, etc...

Dave

Hi Dave, I do miss the lc8 smile but the one bike do everything kept screwing me over. Beat the crap out of it on the weekends then spend all week working on it instead of commuting on it.

Now have an oilhead for road riding and the airhead for offroading. So far a good combo.

The airhead is great fun on the non paved backroads and double track trails. My only issue is water crossing...

I vented the final drive. Carbs, airbox, exhaust and so on all need to be altered to allow a reasonable level of submersion. Debating leaving good enough alone and buying another bike for that ofr dropping a bunch of $ into the airhead to achieve that. Kinda on the fence about it....

Ditto!

Have fun in Mex this fall. Cya next spring. RR will be more airhead friendly as that's what I'll be using to create and pre ride the route. Long sandy roads, less water, more remote, longer mileage....perfect airhead dirtbike route

It's a Lynx with HID lights, same as on my bike, although mine has a projector low beam and non HID high beam. I wouldn't give you two bob for a Lynx, They are junk IMO.

I'm waiting for the owner to post more pics on our Facebook site, he's been given instructions on what to put up.

Aye. Thanks for letting us know. I read your thread that showed how the screen sliders didn't line up and wobbled... I would have thought it can't be that hard to cut two groves in the same place if using a jig.
