Latest and greatest from Paul Rooney; Almost 300mm travel, front and back.

I have a few sneak shots of the frame, as well

Hot Digady Dog. Paul told me he was building a new one for the Safari. He was hoping to get it into the 140 something kilo range.

Would love to see what the bare frame looks like - and how much it weighs.

Pretty sure thats the hotted up 650.. the 850RR motor. Short rod, dual plugged, light flywheel. R1100 swingarm, paralever rear diff, and DRZ400 front end.
Subframe integrated, also, and upper rear shock mount is a tube big enough to stash the bike's toolkit

Sheesh. tough crowd. It's a race bike dave, not a show bike, but true. The bikes not finished yet though. Those yellow plastics were put in to get it out for a test ride. Spot on Jason, its another 850 engine.

probably a race system, that may be less than ideal on the road.

Look no cross-over on the down pipes, cos "its not meant to stay idling for long"

on another note -

the airfilter looks like its up inside the mainframe somewhere, I wonder if that is to give it a snorkel for water crossings

also interesting that he has gone for DRZ forks, as opposed to WP USDs
