Went to a vintage motocross today and a guy was racing this............









Guy who was riding it said it started out life as an R80 GS. had a some sort of late model front forks and a pair of Works Performance long travel shocks.

I unfortunately did not get any action shots of him, he was a good rider and actually passed a couple of bikes.

This is a Witzel BMW from Germany
The tank is from a CCM
The plastics are Yamaha
The frame is more than 20 Years old and modified by Witzel

Looks just like my stock GS rear fender. Fuel tank/headlight/gauges, etc. look like my buddy's ST.

How tall are you Skeery? If under six foot, I'd look up an ST, they're very inexpensive compared to the GS.....easily GS'able.....and that motor is much smoother! I'd trade my buddy in a nanosecond, if'n I wasn't so damn big...

6'2" with monkey arms and a 34" inseam. That said, the 'fake' R90/6 I tested the other day had very comfortable ergo's.

There is a nice looking '77 R100/7 near me. The owner and I are playing phone tag... GS'able?
