Easier

With those 43lt tanks they don't come off easy. It's quicker just to tip the bike on it's side.
I've never been desperate enough to try this but I think if I was down to my last drop of fuel and had done the upside down thing a couple of times and I'd consider pouring wet sand into the tank to float the last of the fuel up to the level of the petcocks.
A dumber idea was to drink the contents of my camel back and drain the remaining fuel into it and plug directly to the fuel line. Bit like a transfusion I guess.

That’s Loiseaux’s bike. He has raced 18 Dakar-Rallies and numerous other rallies.
His previous bike (he crashed it when he fell asleep at 130 km/h in a Dakar-Rally) was one of my inspiration-sources when I build mine.

The other day I filled 41.9 liters in my HPN-tank (720 km / 445 miles). It had no problem prior to filling. I have noticed that a few people mount them a bit high in the front.

I've heard about that guy. I've got this memory of listening to him actually say he fell asleep.

Mine does, perhaps your mounts need adjusting...

If it was me, I would prop the front of the thank high enough to raise the lobes to level and ride to the next fueling point... simple!

wow cool! it looks like the tranny and rear diff share a vent thats pretty cool.

I like the cylinder head protection.

Looks like flat slide carbs.

Battery is up front on top of a shaved motor case. Starter might still be there.

nice carbon fibre front cover

done away with the finned header nuts and gone all two strokey on the exhaust.

Upper rear shock mount is forward and under the frame tubes. neat.

Thats a WP front end or I'm a monkeys uncle.

Rear brake lever's been spun up, nad I wonder what that thingy is on top of the air box.

I want a ride.
