Don't listen to Steve, it's all smoke and mirrors! the 11/33 diff just means it's the same gearing as the 17" wheel is that much smaller. sometimes i think an 18 would be better off-road.
i didn't get the wheel re-laced just massaged across on orig spokes (scottish heritage).

No, I'm just slow & cautious. I have never tried to explain away my slowness based on equipment. It's all the rider.

That said, I do think you may have more welly in your bike, based on what has been done to it. Your diff is higher than on Gus, ie 3.0:1 cfw 3.0901:1. Wheel sizes are the same. That should give you more top end, dependent on how your motor makes power. Be interesting to do a roll on test some day.

Not my bike, but sweet nonetheless

Hi All,

this is my bike! I'm very proud to see it here!
My name is Oren and I'm from Israel,

So if you are wondering what it is I will tell you:

the motor is a R65/45 block which was fitted with RS1000 Cylinders, heads & 40mm carbs. the cylinders were cut to give a 9.1:1 compression ratio and 853 CC.
the frame was reinforces and the suspension was improved with Ohlins shocks, the front brake is Beringer caliper& disc, rear arm from a R1100 GS + HPN drive shaft adapter, the triples are TAG's the head light & cockpit computer is from trail-tech the dashboard is custom made laser cut Alu plate, exshoust system is SSteel and Ramus muffler. there are many more things...
I tried to upload some photos but couldn't do it - sombody can tel me how can I do it?

thanks Oren:

Nope, DRZ 400. "slightly modified." (exept springs and re-shimming)

Shop envy? Why?

Except that its a G/S (or ST), updated front end, and dirty! That's more than special enough!
