I wrap them with paracord.

Light and easy to pack and fairly useful for more 'delicate' and kitchen work.
Great idea, I will have to make a few since I have a belt sander, bench grinder and they should be easy to grind out.

Sorry, October's been "one of those months" for me. Lemme rummage around. I bought two, and one's filled out with my camping gear - don't have a "tactical" bag setup yet.

I've done kydex, but I wouldn't call myself great at it. I think if I did another 5 or 10 pieces, it'd come together, but I don't have the $$ to just school myself, and I don't like sending out crap work for $$. Catch-22.

Consider a packframe sheath, wrap your gear around it (folded in the blanket/tarp, old-school style).

Allright, smug's back.

The empty bag:

My gear layout:

This is my outdoor kit, not my urban disaster kit.

On the left, we have the stocking hat, snivel kit with notebook, pencil, contractor pencil cut down, tea candle, duct tape, mouthwash, headlamp, and soap leaves. To the right, under the cook pot and spork (both titanium) we have my woods tools, which include the Gerber mini-suspension multitool, my Arrowcard dog-tag with attached signal mirror, Mora knife, and Gerber lightweight saw. At the top is my bath kit with hand towel and TP, all goes in the blue sack. Next, from the top, is my mini ultra-sil tarp/poncho, small ABS tent pegs, lightweight cordage, and fire kits. I keep a collection of tinder-quick tabs, wetfire cubes, a couple mini-bic's, some paper matches, a "mountainman cigar" of charcloth, pitch, and cedar bark rolled up, a large ferro rod (with signal whistle) and a tin of charcloth.

Second picture:
At the top, a couple lengths of 550 cord, 2 12oz pilots flasks, an SOL bivy bag, a Space Sportsman hooded blanket, 2 SOL 2-person heat sheets, my hammock, my Vargo titanium wood stove, water filter, and a couple contractor trash bags. To the right, my med kit of medicines and quick-clot.

It all packs in pretty well:

And looks good closed up:

With blanket and zombie-stick:

Your model:

Not shown above but also handy are my Ribz back and 2.4oz ultra-sil backpack for when I scale down to ultralight:

Just picked up a Maxpedition Kodiak gearslinger to replace my Maxpedition Versipack. Versipack is cool, but I kept packing it so tight that it took 10 minutes to get anything out, and repack
