Gardens of Stone Australia 20-21 st March 2010

My brother and I went for a two day ride around the Gardens of Stone National Park NSW Australia. It is a 12000 hectare park just outside of Lithgow and extends to Rylstone NSW, which in turn is part of a much larger National Park called Wollomi NP. http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/Na....aspx?id=N0087

These are some shots from the end of the 400 meter long sandstone tunnel called Glow Worm Tunnel. If you turn off your torch well into the tunnel, thousands of glow worms light up the roof of the stone tunnel.

How did you go with that last big dip before the Glow Worm Tunnel car park?
I always forget about it.
It's caught a few riders out.
Friend Bill damn near ended up down the gully on the right hand side of it.

It was a bit tricky but we were ok. Thanks for directions Jaq

It is a great ride. The only bit we had trouble with was the draft Bundy rum at the Globe hotel in Rylston . The locals kept making us drink it

Rylstone's a nice little town.

They have a street food and wine festival later in the year.
Be worth going to I reckon.

Lin and I are looking forward to riding to Hill End again in a couple weeks.

Glad you guys enjoyed the trails.
Thanks for the RR and pics.
Gotta love those views.

The ride thru Wolgan Valley and Capertee is superb for scenery.
