Its really awesome that we have this kind of tool availible, Im just sorry that my messages were a bit garbled...I was pretty spaced out most times I phoned in.

Are you kidding?!? There's not a true rallye fan here who would complain about the call quality -- before this, privateers never had the chance to share their stories live from the field! Us junkies hang on every word.

THANK YOU.

What's up with the side of the tank here? Damage from your crash?

They refused to let us continue. Talk about emotional overload. Anyway I got there in the end right now Im pretty tired, have been relaxing at a nice beach apartment Dave organised for the team.
Great stuff mate, tough gritty ride, many others more experienced might'nt have made it with those issues.....................

Now the rallye drug addiction has bitten truely deep.......................when's the next one ???

Come on out for Safari 2011 you'll love it

Unfortunately the paint blistered off that tank, it held up much better on the other one, though sliding along a gravel road didnt help matters much!! The tank itself held up pretty well despite a couple of dumps, though the mounting brackets started to take some of the strain. Everything still good with the kit though -apart from the front subrframe which IMO is way too fragile. This is the second time it disintegrated on me, the first time being at the Rally Panam rally school. More on this soon.

Darn this rally bug, it sure is addictive.

That Oz safari sure looks good, Garry, I would love to give it a bash. I will have to see what the minister of finance has to say about that, broaching the subject right now might not be such a good idea...

Thanks JB. Actually the springbokkie is full of bullet holes up close, but you cant see that on the photees. Did I say that the webventure guys were AWESOME?? Not only did they hang out out in high trees and lie in the road taking awesome pics but they also helped me dry my bike out on Day 2 and push my bike through a river on Day 7. Thanks guys!

having been gone for a month, Im totally horrified to see that I completely missed the entire race!!

So I got up at five this morning as my wife slept, to catch myself up on this thread.

After finishing, Im totally speechless. Neil went from weekend rider (like the rest of us) to hero in just nine days. Im essentially left with a feeling of awe of the entire thing (and a little jealously!!!) and Im honored to just be mentioned in this thread.
The consistently moving forward in the pack and consistently going faster every stage is astonishing.

I look at the pictures and I dont see a dirtbike rider anymore - I see a RALLY RACER.

you should make up posters so I can buy one a frame it.
