Hey Dave. Come on down for supper. We got a spare bedroom and a garage for the bike and if you wait a month or so, I might even have some homebrew ready.

skyline drive to
blue ridge parkway...
the bikes running great...
homebrew and a garage...

its a tempting offer
lemme talk to the boss...

i have used k70s and knockoff k70s for so long i kinda thought they were available for everything. guess not. they look right and are adaquate for anything youd be stupid enough to try on a 40+ year old bike (without a support crew). mine see plenty of dirt and gravel roads. is there anything better than a vintage bike on a gravel country road? no. there is not.

Would they change the tail light and some other features and not call it a new model?
A '54 would be a /3, a significantly different machine from the Earls fork machines in many ways. By '54 the engines in the /3s were pretty much like the next gen machines--pre-/2s, if you will--but everything else is pretty much different than the pre-/2s, or /2s for that matter.

Not a lot of gravel or trees in these parts.
Still with the Metzlers: Marathon / ME77

Suddenly, I hunger for Christina Hendricks. Well, not that suddenly.

Wait, what were we talking about?

+1 on the solo seats; I have 'em front and rear. Passengers love the handle.

Well, I don't have a TV, and if I did, I wouldn't watch it anyway.
