Gee-whizz. If I had the time to spend and learn to capture the sound of that one minute vid, danedg, it'd be my ring tone. Doggone. I'd have to learn how to unlock my phone too. grrr

Tried to post one, got the dreaded blue ? will try again soon. Trying to make smug mug to work for me….Ill post some soon. It actually looks close enough to yours it caught me off guard a bit. I have a Mize terminal at the battery, that was the only diff I could spot. I haven't got to ride it much, but it scoots along pretty good………I bought it from a guy in Michigan last year, he and his friend did a really nice job on it. I met him in Vegas at the Mid Am Auction. I was there trying to buy a 53…..it was pretty cobbled up. Glad he came along. Yours looks very nice….I still like the 500's they just purr along so smooth..

jfc, when you have your Bultaco apart in the garage, does your wife tell everyone that your garage is full of Bul?

I'm loading up the 51 in the truck and headed to Mississippi on Wednesday... it's only 1200 miles each way!

First Tag

I got Grandma out today and got the local Tag.
She's old and slow but still get's some attention.
The first guy pulls up next to me... " your brakelight is really dim!..."
... The bike is 60 years old, you be careful!
I'm taking the picture at the tag and a 20 year old walks over... " is it a '53?.."
Very good young man! No it's a '54.
Another 20sumthing at the toll booth was dumbstruck! Keep the change...

Leaky trans

But unfortunately, after the ride there is too much 90wt out and about.
It shifts nicely, sounds great, and the oil is clean.
Bad seals.
When the bike arrived, the PO included a brandy new gasket/seal kit from Huggett.
He knew... I had to find out. It didn't take long.

I'm not going to rebuild the whole tranny but will replace the leaky stuff
