Do they fit snug onto the headers?
One of mine is a bit floppy, leading to rattleness.....

hey Dan,
The joints show sooty signs of leaking but I haven't noticed any associated rattling.

So if you packed the 'rod and it was jarred loose on a bumpy road... would you say the bike threw a fly rod?

BTW: nice bags you have there.
Do you have some excellent pics of the mounting brackets?
I have a pair of Wixoms I'd love to hang on the bike but the mounts are unobtainium... thinking it's a DIY project.

Do you mean Wixom's like these?

One doesn't "throw", a fly rod.... it is "cast".

yabut... well it was a poor joke at best, bit of a stretch.

Anyway yes. Wixoms like those.
Do you suppose I could 'borrow' those brackets? (joking again)

Thanks for the link CDD. The pics make good reference.
I may be able to adapt /5-Wixom brackets without too much trouble.

It just so happens I have a slightly rusted set of spare brackets that came with the bike. They're Buco specific, but with a wee bit of ingenuity.....
