Thanks, Few major things before going to detail, exhaust, seat, and handlebar need replacement. The fairing needs to go. By the way, can anyone identify the made of that fairing? ![]() It comes with the enduro saddlebags and all the hardwares, but it will stay off for awhile. The carbs can use a rebuilt. And, yes, all the fluids will be replaced before it got fired up again. It looks like a long way to go |

![]() And yes, the ring is really messed up. No, the PO knows nothing about this bike. The bike was sitting in his garage since 1991. He stated he starts it once awhile. So, I will have looking into it before I fire it up again. |

Slingers
Accept it...
You should pull the motor down for slingers, bearings, seals. Once you do it, it'll be done. |

[QUOTE=lucky6600;18838326]After 2 years of lurking and searching, I am now a /2 owner.
64' R60/2 was just picked up this afternoon. It runs and charges. Many parts needed to be replaced, but now, at least, I am finally in. ![]() I know it's not "Proper", but I really like that seat's looks... even better than the Denfeld! |

The seat actually fits very well. It looks like someone actually made the seat for it, or it was actually a brand?
![]() ![]() And, yes, I will look into the famous /2 slingers, and bearings. My father has a /2 but I never had chance to work on it myself. I took out those non-stock items, so I can have a better idea what I am getting here. I will say it's actually not that bad for a 48 years old bike. It needs lots work, but not overly bad. Overally, I am pretty happy what I got for how much I paid for it. ![]() ![]() ![]()
