Well, it looks like you and your sharp focusing eyeball orbs are on cookie duty then.

I was hoping I could run for it. I was going to leave a cookie at the next tag site...

Maybe on the next one. Or if BHW is going to run for it, I'll leave a flax seed biscuit...

Just got home from Charlotte. I'm going to my chair in front of the TV, and passing out.

I wouldn't ride to Carboro or Chapel Hill anyhow. Not my idea of a good destination.

Open Eye is easy to get to via back roads so as to avoid Franklin and Chapel Hill proper. Just come in via Jones Ferry/54. One reason I picked this vs. one in town.

I honestly think that she would prefer the single in a low configuration. A DR650 is an option too. We're in no hurry to buy though.

I looked at the Garcia Moto site and they show 2 650GSs' forsale both are pretty expensive for 650cc bikes IMHO...a DR650 would be alot less so both in purchase price and in parts... especially when they break(bmw)...they're dead nuts reliable(dr650)...

The g650 is the 650 single. F650 is an 800 twin. Same one that is in the f800. In 2012(?) they changed the designation from f650 to f700.

However, pre-2008 the F650GS was a single. BMW tried their best to make it confusing, and they succeeded. She would prefer a pre-2008 single in factory low configuration, but we can make a normal model low at the Donkey Garage.

MrsDonkey's problem is that she wants something made of Unobtanium....a sub-400lb bike with a 30" seat height, 1960's Triumph looks, and modern fuel injection, braking, and suspension. What she really needs is two bikes, a CRF230L for dual-sport duty, and a modern classic for road duty like a Enfield or a Guzzi V7. However, adding two bikes to the stable is not feasible.
