dicks sporting goods has similar stuff - and there is always the el cheapo stuff at walmart (same material blends). I have some underarmor I get on sale off season - it holds up ok. Not worth full price.

synthetics suck - they pick up odor in half a day and stink to high heaven. Merino wool or silk is better, but much more expensive.

get cheap stuff, 2 pair, and wash one in the sink or whatever, or get the other stuff, and wear it more days before washing

merino wool can also wick moisture vapor - you have to have a good sweat going to get the synthetics to wick anything up.... but - either underlayer is good. I have field tested this stuff in joshua tree, around here, on the motorcycle, etc.

Ranger panties and an Under Armour shirt are standard fair if I'm riding on a hot day. I just throw the mesh gear on over it and call it good, provided I don't have any prolonged stops.

I don't necessarily like CycleGear, but I find myself shopping their clearance rack often on lunch breaks. I got a Motoboss Airspeed 4 mesh set there, bought as separates. Pants were $9 and jacket was $30. The jacket is not bad at all. The pants have about as much armor as an airline pillow. I keep saying I'm going to insert CE armor, but have never gotten around to it.

Nevertheless, for a $40 investment, it works great!

that's what I wear in really hot weather - the long leggings and the long sleeve shirts..... very thin though. without it, the sweat soaks into the jacket or pants liner, and then doesn't cool the skin... the tight fitting stuff wicks moisture, and helps evaporate.... and with a little airflow, it's ok. Stopped in traffic with no ventilation, you'll suffer.

I don't use mesh, but all the gear I will wear has good venting to have air flow.

amazing how much cooling you can get on your forearms with long sleeves...

Are videos OK? I wasn't going to search for the video, but since you don't like the photos...

Go riding my friend. It won't hit the hundreds for another couple hours.

PM me if you want to head out to Harnett with me. I may be going to a place that you and I both got bruced on by Okie some time ago...

I think I just passed you going the other way on 54 near Durham. Glad I have this cool dialup smartphone to check on such nonsense now.
