Yea, I requested an invite a few days ago.
But once you get higher levels, you get invites to give out to friends. Kind of like how gmail was at first.

picking you all's brains agin...I just bought a 5x9 utility trailer with a tilt feature...its not set up as a m/c trailer but i plan to make it so...However my question is...Because this trailer has never been legally registered ...i need to know if its possible to get it lregistered and plated...it has all the electrical...supoosedly workinh but we couldnt test it due to incompatability oy my car's wiring harness and the trailers...heres the ad...we paid $500 hopefully it isnt going to be hard to get it plated??? No paperwork was transferred as there aint any...so I am a little concerned...

If there is any type of VIN I would think it would be ok. Snell is down my way Benny, but they are licensed insured and bonded. They will come out and see what needs done. For pruning 4 trees in my yard(I wanted to cut them down but he said not to) it was around $300 I think.

No you are fine.
Just get it inspected and tagged as a homemade trailer
And get the life time tag.
It's about twice the price
But you don't need to deal with it every year.

Trailer lights and wiring are not a problem either. agri supply has everything you need. Your car if it is factory wired is probly correct. If the lites on the trailer aren't working it's usually the trailer. Plug.

Thanks LW...not worried abt that at all...my bro can handle anything thats eletrical/electronic...The lights on there supposedly work...but we may need to completely rewire and install different lights...then again maybe find an adapter plug that would connect the 2 disparate parts... My biggest concern is having it registered and plated for the roads...up in the NE you cant get away with driving or hauling any vehicle that isnt properly plated and registered...like you can down here...i see ill-legal trailers everyday around these parts...you wouldnt get 5 miles like that in Ny or NJ...trust me on that one...

I dont know...according to NCDOT website all tarilers are to be registered...also when I say illeaglly operating on NC roads I guess I am using standards i've grown accustomed to in NY/NJ/PA...but around here i seel trailers with no lights ont hem as well...so thats part of my definition of what I've seen here...again trying to go anywhere in the NE like that is a sure pullover and ticket by the local constable...

In theory nc trailers all need plates.
Except for equipment and farm trailers

I think the rule is they dont need lights unless they are a certain size. Any trailer like Chris said needs to have a plate. The plate isnt really a permenant plate, but a 5 year plate if I recall. I have one for my 5x8 trailer. Saves a ton of hassle every year just gotta remember to pay the taxes

You can get 1 3 5 or lifetime plate for trailer

:-)

Or you could.
Of course someone stole my plate
I reported it and haven't gotten a new plate yet. I always forget when I go in
:-)
That was three years ago?

When I originally went to get the plate for my trailer I was told I could only get a 1 year. Then it was stolen within a couple months. Fast forward 6 years later.. I went to get a plate again because I was towing it up north(Like Benny said, they will ticket you lol). The same lady that told me I could only get a 1 year told me that I could get a 5 year when I asked about perm plates again. It was $75 for the 5 year, so it didnt make sense not to get the 5 year.

Thought I knew where this was. Guess not.

I wanted to get out for a ride tonight since I'll be at a Science Quiz Bowl all day tomorrow. I should have known that the Old EPA Campus and the Environmental Protection Agency on TW Alexander weren't the same place. I was going to ride around and try to find where the old one was, but this place was gated and looked to have guards without a sense of humor!

Oh well, it was a nice (chilly) night for a ride.
