I went for a ride this AM and I think I blew my right front fork seal.
:-( something is leaking out now at least. :-(

Damn it. I need to leave on Thursday.
Try cleaning the seal before replacing them. A piece of 35mm film is great if you have some. A business card will work. Motion Pro sells a good one. Your favorite shop in Garner sells them, I believe. Overpriced at around $5.00.

So I have exhaust tape around the pipe so I could stop melting / burning pant legs

But I'm nervous about this stuff.

It's been a few rides, and it still smokes like this every time I start it.

Stupid bike

This is going to sound like a stupid question, but it looks like your bike is wet. Are you sure it's not steam?

Yes, it's wet this time.
It's done this every time I've started it since I've had that wrap on there.

In the plus side it's getting a lot better.
Only did that for about a minute this time.
The first time, it was so bad when I stopped for gas (realized I had no gas in the cans so didn't even warm up, started and didn't stop till the station) I ran the bike away from the pumps and into a field.

:-)

So where we going, since I'm not going for that church anymore

Rugby, the same thing happens to the Triumph. The tape holds fluids, and won't stop smoking until they completely evaporate.

New tag. This should be really easy to find. The name of this town starts with W.

Nice grab fellas...I have seen a couple of those signs...just not exactly sure which one it is but i think I know which one...last couple of days the wind has been brisk in the late aftrenoon...ran over to Rugby's and a gust of wind gave me a sideways push...caught me off guard for half a second...

It's good enough for government work.

:-)

The pop is a lot better, but she is temperamental to start.
ESPECIALLY when it's not quite warm, but not cold either. (aka when I stall it putting it in gear when I first start it.)

But everything else seems good.

Try going up one size on the pilot.
