Where's the fun in it if I just post up the exact address?

Ok. Someone is going to have to ride to Holly Springs for this one!

This is one of the better decorated houses that we've seen. Sorta a Stephen King "It" theme

Yeah, 440 to Hillsborough St, down through Cary.

Go get it, I'm riding today, but not anywhere near Holly Springs.

Sure! That would be a great way to go! We went up through the city yesterday to get the tag and came back around the east side

going carless

back in Aug. i decided to sell my beloved Volvo in search of better fuel economy...bought a 99 honda civic...but it turned out to be a POS and I am out $3500 bucks...car died last Fri. with a blown head gasket...bought the car from a man of muslim decent in apex...he lied about every single thing that he had detailed abt this car...gonna try and sell it as is but i wont get back but a fraction of what was stolen from me....bottom line is anytime you buy a vehicle no matter where or from whom...you must have it checked by a mechanic you know and trust before paying out your hard earned $$...my mistake...and I really should have known better 'cause i usually do....if I didnt need to recoup some of my loss i would bring this POS back to the peson's house and set it afire on their front yard...and hope their house burns down too... So now I am riding my bikes to work..that will be fun this winter....

I don't know squat about Hondas, but normally replacing head gaskets isn't a terrible difficult job. It is a bit time consuming, but not difficult. I've done it on Fords, Chevys, and Peugots before. I had a mechanic do it on a 1995 BMW once and it cost me around $800. I had him do it because I literally didn't have the tools on me to do it at the time since I was 400 miles from home. I imagine a Honda would be cheaper.

Don't scrap that car just yet.

Yeah, it might be worth your time and money to get it fixed first, then sell it.

I'd probably want to know why it died from a blown headgasket before I advised scrap or fix. Normally the symptom of a bad head gasket is it's overheating and losing coolant as it leaks into the engine. Don't think it would stop it running unless it's leaking bad enough to lose compression, or the overheating warped or cracked the head, or some other bad news. If you decide to fix it it's not hard, plenty of write-ups online, but I'd bring the head to a machine shop to pressure-test the valves and check the head for flatness and cracks.

On another topic, it's a boring ride from Wake Forest to Holly Springs, somebody move the tag already.

And it would not pass inspection...I did have a year cause it was an out of state car...but again its was netter to cut and run... and be done with it...funny thing I put up a full disclosure CL ad describing waht a POS it was and I had 10 ppl respond within hours...seems there's a few out there that can fix these issues cheap and make a quick turnaround
