Hey...do any of you guys know how to get a route or track (whatever you call it) from Mapsource to the GPS and have it look right on the GPS?

When I create the route in mapsource and then send it to the device. the lines don't follow the road (like in Mapsource)....it's just a series of straight lines connected everywhere I clicked......make sense?
mine looks and follows the road just as you see and make it in mapsource. BUT... i can only make it so long untill it fulls up my SDcard. to get around this i bust a route into parts, and load them like...ride1...ride2..3..so on. i can get about 100 miles in one route befour i have to start anouther one. but still its not a problem.

I quit riding slower offroad stuff as soon as the 80s get good and settled-in. Dust and heat and all...my gear isn't worthy and I wear contacts. But...

As an alternative, I'll take a road crew out Saturday for an overnighter if there's interest.

I was thinking of hitting Devil's Triangle Saturday via backroads and some yummy highways, camp at Frozen Head that night, and ride back Sunday. Train leaves at 10am at the latest. Mostly paved twisties. 4-500 miles at least over 2 days.

Any takers?

Anyone have a "must ride" road between Chattanooga and Portland Tn? I know I'm running 30 from the Sequatchie Valley to 111, but don't know much west of 111 up that way except 141 and 56.

Shepardsville Highway. You'll find it between 53 and 56/290. It may be marked as 290.

This is just northwest of Cookeville.

It's not a terribly long section (maybe 20 minutes), but I did turn aroundsies for a few hours just back and forth after finding it. There are some homes on it, but I only saw one car in 2 hours or so. Plenty of other good stuff in the area too, but it's the best piece of asphalt I've found in a long time.

There's also a seafood restaurant at Granville Marina just a few miles to the west. It was open the last time I was there...6 weeks or so ago. Never tried it, but it's seafood.
