Good clip....brought back memories.
I actually lived in Cowan for 2 years or so in 7-8 grades.
We used to ride 3 and 4 wheelers all up in the mountains above Cowan.
I remembera rock quarry right next to those tracks.
We would go swimming in the quarry, play in the creeks and ride in the mountains. We used to play on those tracks all the time.
Good times and good memories......the good old days

Debandi, got a route?
Hey R2L...I'll go with you but can only ride Saturday.
It would be too far for me to ride so I'd have to trailer.
I'd love to get down there and see the mountain goat trail and do some exploring. Leave out of Sewanee.

OK....here's my ride report from last night:

I live on a steep hill. Wasn't expecting to hear any traffic last night. Was on bed and about 10:15 I hear some kind of vehicle raising hell out front. I get up to take a look.....and it's a salt truck stuck in my yard ! :

He was giving it hell trying to get out and DESTROYING may yard in the proccess ! :

This my neighbor David. He came out to see the commotion too. He had been drinking wine all night and decided to go sledding. That red stuff on his hand is blood. His head was still bleeding 30 minutes later!

Today....when he was making sense.....he said that he was doubling with another neighbor, they went off the road, he hit something and was KNOCKED OUT ! He said all he remembered was being shaken and hearing wake up, wake up

The salt dudes were stuck. They stayed in the truck all night. At sometime in the night they must have hand thrown salt all over the road b/c at 5:00am when the tow truck showed up the road was cleared.

It was one of those 18 wheeler Tow trucks:

At 5:15 they got the truck pulled out.

And here's the nice landscaping they left me:

I talked to the Hwy superindendant (sp) today. He was wondering what had happened. He was cool about it and said they would come fix the yard in a few days once they get caught back up.

I grew up sledding that hill...We called it the North Pole. Your eyes would water from the speed and cold air in the first 100 yrd. until you were nearly blind. It is one pain in the rear to walk back up.

HA.....Andy, that's pretty funny.
Small world....
Do you, or did you live around here?

You ought to coma back around. Now we've got a neighbor with a side-by-side that drives people back up :)

Yea, I've sledded down that hill a time or two and It's ablast but you get going tooooo fast. My neighbor David was moaning and groaning all day yesterday. He said his head was hurting, he had wrenched his knee and had several big bruises.

I said " Now you know how WE feel "
